The ladies from the Upper Island BC Hydro Power Pioneers made a stop at the Paediatrics Unit in Nanaimo Regional General Hospital (NRGH) this week to deliver a $500 donation to the Hospital Foundation.
The volunteer group of BC Hydro retirees organizes a variety of fundraisers throughout the year in support of worthy causes on Central Island.
Since 2010 the group has given almost $1,700 towards the purchase of equipment and comfort items for children seeking medical care at NRGH.
