Neighbours at Harbour Towers on Mount Benson Street have once again shown their collective community spirit by delivering a donation to the Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation for the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital (NRGH). Harbour Tower residents collect their bottle returns throughout the year and the collected total is then given to the Foundation for healthcare on Central Vancouver Island. Thanks to the organizing efforts of Delphia Evans and Gordon Loudon, and the generosity of residents, the group donated $820 earlier this month.
This is the third year the residents have donated to the Foundation and Ms. Evans issued a friendly challenge to other condo-dwellers to recycle their bottles in order to help provide essential funds for equipment and services.
