The Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie #15 recently presented their annual gifts to local charities for the benefit of Nanaimo citizens. The service club holds internal fundraisers throughout the year, which are supported by members and their guests. Among those benefiting from the group’s generosity was the Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation. Brenda Rositano, of the Foundation, gratefully accepted a $1,000 gift for the New Emergency Department now under construction at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital (NRGH). She noted, “The Foundation is facilitating the purchase of $4 million worth of life-saving equipment for the new Emergency at NRGH and the Eagles have done so much to move us in the right direction. We really appreciate their hard work.” If you would like to follow progress of the New Emergency Department or to donate to this cause securely online visit www.nanaimohospitalfoundation.com/er
