Brenda Rositano, of the Foundation, and Jason Friesen, of Nanaimo Long & McQuade, get ready for the 8th Annual Music Therapy Fundraising Drive for the NRGH Paediatric Unit.
Long & McQuade continues its efforts to help children heal through music therapy and artistic expression. From November 1st to December 31st the music company invites costumers to donate to their 8th Annual Music Therapy Fundraising Drive.
Three years ago, the Nanaimo and Victoria Long & McQuade stores decided to direct their donations to the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital (NRGH) for the benefit of local Island children. Since then, they have delivered $5,000 to help kids. Nanaimo Long & McQuade has also contributed an array of musical instruments over the last few years, allowing volunteer musicians to share the power of music with ailing children and anxious parents; the healing effect is evident. If you are visiting the Nanaimo or Victoria Long & McQuade, help make a musical difference to local children staying in hospital over the holiday season.
