Evelyn and Larry McNabb stopped by the Foundation office last week to deliver 40 beautifully handcrafted quilts for children visiting the Paediatric and Neonatal Units at NRGH. Ten of the colourful blankets will provide an extra measure of comfort at the VI SCAN (Vancouver Island Suspected Child Abuse and Neglect).
Project Linus blankets are created with love by a network of supporters. About 100 individuals and several craft groups give blankets to Project Linus organizer Evelyn McNabb throughout the year. These special gifts offer a little homespun respite to children facing medical or life crises. Project Linus not only supports NRGH, but delivers to Fire Departments, Haven House for families in transition, and other Hospitals across Vancouver Island.
