RBC also shows their community dedication through their Employee Volunteer Grants; employees who volunteer for a not-for-profit organization can earn grants for their charity of choice in lieu of service. Moira Jenkins, the volunteer Treasurer of the Hospital Foundation’s Board of Directors, is just such an example. She devotes so much time to the Foundation because “it is near and dear” to her heart.
Brenda Rositano, of the Hospital Foundation, noted that “RBC has continually shown their commitment to their customers, and to our Island communities, and have given more than $230,000 to the Foundation for the purchase of medical equipment since 1990. This means they understand the human aspect of providing healthcare for each of us, but also the economic impact; the Foundation is extremely grateful to RBC for their partnership.”
