The Royal Canadian Legion #257 in Lantzville, continues to support healthcare initiatives for “veterans’ comfort and care” with their recent donation of $3,000 to the Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation for the purchase of needed equipment at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital (NRGH).
This gift means the Legion 257 has given almost $50,000 for the health and wellness of veterans on Central Island since 1999. This donation was possible due to poppy donations last year. Poppies are available by donation again this year until November 10th, and the public is also welcome to attend their Remembrance Day services on November 11th at the Lantzville Legion.
