The gift will help add new equipment to the NRGH Rehabilitation Department and was possible thanks to Poppy Fund donation last year.
Service Officer, Kathryn Shultis, of the Royal Canadian Legion Mount Benson Branch #10 recently presented $2,000 to the Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation in support of rehabilitation equipment for Nanaimo Regional General Hospital (NRGH).
Shultis said, “Many of our members visit NRGH for rehabilitation treatment so a donation from our Poppy Fund will help support equipment that is needed for their care.”
Brenda Rositano, of the Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation, added, “The equipment purchased will benefit all users of Rehab and this demonstrates the important work Branch #10 Legion is doing in our community. It is thanks to everyone donating generously for a poppy that this gift is possible.
