The Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation recently recognized Thrifty Foods with a plaque on the Platinum Philanthropist Donor Wall for their outstanding contributions to healthcare on Central Vancouver Island. Four stores serve Central Island and host fundraising events throughout the year. Since 1998 Thrifty Foods has reached the platinum level by giving more than $150,000 in support of lifesaving equipment and services that will benefit their customers and staff.
