Ladysmith Health Care Auxiliary Give $16,000 for Nurse Carts in ER

The Admitting & Patient Flow Team at NRGH showed their team spirit in a “casual way”. By paying a twoonie each week, department staff was allowed to wear jeans every Friday. As a result they collected $180 for a good cause.

Thrifty Foods Reaches Platinum Level of Philanthropy

The Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation recently recognized Thrifty Foods with a plaque on the Platinum Philanthropist Donor Wall for their outstanding contributions to healthcare on Central Vancouver Island. Four stores serve Central Island and host fundraising events throughout the year. Since 1998 Thrifty Foods has reached the platinum level by giving more than $150,000 in support of lifesaving equipment and services that will benefit their customers and staff.

Royal LePage Deliver Toys for Sick Children

The Royal LePage offices in Parksville and Qualicum Beach celebrated their 4th annual “Toys for Hospitalized Tots” drive by delivering approximately 200 toys to the Paediatric Unit at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital (NRGH).
