Throwing a bowling party for his 7th birthday party was only part of the celebration for Jonah Manson. The second part was sharing his good fortune in friendships with children at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital (NRGH). Jonah's guests were asked to bring a donation rather than a gift to his party in hopes those donations "would help make [sick children] all better."
As a result, Jonah (and his friends) raised $117 for the Paediatric Unit at NRGH. Maeve O'Byrne, Foundation President, expressed her gratitude, "Jonah is such an articulate young man, and it is clear he put a lot of thought into sharing his special days with those facing health challenges. It is with thanks to young people like Jonah that the Foundation is also able to help."
