The Nanaimo Harbour City Seniors Crafty Workers make everything with loving care and at their annual Christmas Bazaar last month they turned their homemade craftwork into a $1,700 donation for the Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation. The funds have been directed towards the New Emergency Department at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital (NRGH). Since 1997, the group has been a dedicated supporter of the Foundation and given more than $11,000 in that time for necessary equipment in several Departments throughout NRGH. The Crafty Workers’ have focused on the Emergency Department in recent years due to the need for new equipment for the new space. The Foundation has committed to raise $4 million towards the $36.9 million cost.
