Adam and Ashley King, a Nanaimo brother and sister team of fundraisers, recently stopped by the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital (NRGH) to make a special delivery to the Paediatric Unit at NRGH. When Adam turned six in October he asked his friends to bring donations rather than gifts to his birthday party. In November, his sister Ashley turned nine and asked her friends to do the same.
Together the two youngest King children raised $240 for the Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation for use in the Paediatric Unit. When asked why they wanted to support their hometown Hospital Ashley said "it gives to everybody" and Adam added, "I thought I would help people get better".
