The staff and patrons of the Harewood Arms Pub have shown their continued dedication to healthcare in Nanaimo by donating $2,754 to Amber Adams of the Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation. Bill Dempsey, co-owner of the Harewood Arms Pub, said the Pub continues its support because of "all of the cutbacks, it’s just a good cause".
The Pub fundraises at Meat Draws throughout the year and has donated more than $14,000 to the Foundation since 1999. Amber Adams, Director of Donor Relations at the Foundation, expressed her appreciation to the group for "continually focusing on healthcare and the development of our Hospital, the Foundation is forever grateful for their generosity."
