The Parksville Qualicum Shrine Club has once again contributed to the health of children on Central Vancouver Island with a generous donation of $7,000 to the Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation. The group has contributed close to $60,000 over the last decade in order to help sick kids at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital (NRGH). Their most recent donation will be directed toward the Maternity-Neonatal and Paediatric Units at NRGH. Funds were raised, in part, from the sale of their calendar, at their annual pancake breakfast, and at the Parksville Sandcastle event this past summer.
Amber Adams, of the Hospital Foundation, said “the Parksville Qualicum Shrine Club has shown their commitment to help kids here on Central Island year after year. Their help has made a tangible difference to the lives of children seeking medical help at NRGH and the Foundation is extremely grateful.” Look for the Shrine Club calendar on sale until December 15th.
