The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #10 focused their charitable efforts on the needs of veterans. As a result the group recently donated $2,000 to the Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation to be used for the purchase of rehabilitation equipment in Physical & Occupational Therapy Services at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital (NRGH). The funds were raised through poppy donations in 2011. Poppies will once again be available on October 26th. Since 2001 Branch #10 has contributed nearly $16,000 to help buy medical equipment that helps veterans receive quality healthcare.
