“Silent Guardian Fund provides funding for people who are not financially able to pay for the Lifeline service,” says Joan Ryan, executive director of the Nanaimo Lifeline program, which is provided by the Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation. “Lifeline provides an amazing service where medically at risk individuals and people with disabilities are able to live independently with the help of Lifeline. Family caregivers, friends, and neighbours experience improved peace of mind knowing a loved one has access to help twenty-four hours a day at the push of a button.”
