It is never too soon to learn the benefit of giving. Jacob Windley and his younger sister Mikayla are only five and three years old, but they have already learned that sharing their good fortune can make a difference in the lives of others. Earlier this month the two children visited Denise Pond of the Paediatric Unit at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital (NRGH) to deliver $646 collected in lieu of gifts at their shared Jumping Jiminy’s birthday party. While Jacob was happy to make the donation, it was his three year old sister who explained that they were motivated to do so “because kids feel sick”.
